Your responsibilities
- Development and implementation of purchasing strategies to achieve the objectives in collaboration with the scheduling department
- Development and implementation of supplier management in the responsible product groups
- Conducting market and price analyses in series and in new product developments / further developments of existing products
- Further development of the existing supplier portfolio including the identification and qualification of new sources of supply
- Tendering and awarding contracts as well as conducting price and contract negotiations
- Monitoring ratio measures in collaboration with adjacent departments, e.g. R&D, production, etc.
- Regular reporting on the responsible product groups
The suitable qualifications are:
- Completed technical or business administration degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or comparable degree programs
- Several years of professional experience in (strategic) procurement
- Strong technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation abilities
- Enjoyment in designing and implementing strategic procurement in mechanical engineering
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Resilience, teamwork, and assertiveness with cross-departmental and entrepreneurial thinking
