- Basic craftsmanship: drilling, turning, milling, and cutting
- Programming as well as creation and processing of workpieces on numerically controlled machine tools
- Manufacturing of forming tool surfaces
- Planning and production of technical systems in toolmaking
- Modification and adaptation of technical systems in toolmaking
- Materials science, occupational safety, and environmental protection
The required qualifications are:
- Secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school certificate
