Your Tasks
- Creation and implementation of purchasing strategies to achieve the objectives in collaboration with distribution
- Development and implementation of supplier management in the responsible product groups
- Conducting market and price analyses in series production and with new product developments / further developments of existing products
- Further development of the existing supplier portfolio including identification and qualification of new sources
- Tendering and awarding contracts as well as conducting price and contract negotiations
- Monitoring ratio measures in collaboration with adjacent departments, e.g. R&D, production, etc.
- Regular reporting on the responsible product group(s)
The suitable requirements are:
- Completed technical or business administration degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable degree programs
- Several years of professional experience in (strategic) purchasing
- Pronounced technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills
- Enjoyment in designing and implementing strategic purchasing in mechanical engineering
- Proficient in using MS Office
- Very good command of English, both spoken and written
- Stress resistance, team spirit and assertiveness with cross-departmental and entrepreneurial thinking
